Do you have a catch and release fishing program?
Yes, and we promote and encourage all anglers to practice catch & release on all Billfish.
What fishing tackle is supplied on the trip?
All of our boats are fully equipped with top-of-the-line Shimano fishing gear.
Do I need a Mexican fishing license?
To fish in Mexico, you need a Mexican Salt-Water Fishing License, which may be purchased for $15 USD.
Can I fish with my own tackle?
Yes, but you'll need to bring your own equipment or in combination with our supplied tackle.
Can I bait and hook the fish myself?
The crew is there to assist you. Let them know what you would like to do and how you want to fish.
Is live bait supplied with my charter?
Bait is on the boat prior to your departure, and included in the price of your charter.
Where do I get my fish cleaned?
Your catch will be cleaned and prepared for transport by the crew.
How do I get my fish home?
Coolers and freezer packets are available for purchase and transportation of your catch home. Bringing fish into the US is not a problem with customs or the airlines.
Can I have my fish mounted?
Should you desire, we can arrange to have your catch mounted through companies in Mexico or Florida from pictures we will supply.
Do the crews on your boats speak English?
Yes, our Captains and crews are bilingual.
Are your Sportfishing boats equipped with fighting chairs?
Yes, or you may fish with a rod belt and harness.
What time do the charters leave? Can they leave any earlier?
Standard departure time is 7am. Earlier departures can be arranged.
What time do the fishing boats return to the Marina?
Expect to return to our docks at approx. 3pm. Boats may stay out later at the Captain’s discretion, depending on conditions.
Do the boats have bathrooms? Are they enclosed?
All of our boats have enclosed heads.
Can your boats take us fly-fishing?
Yes, but you will need to bring your own tackle.
How much should I tip the crew?
Generally 10-20%, subject to your satisfaction with the crew's performance.
Which airlines service Cabo San Lucas/San Jose?
AeroMexico, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Air Canada, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, Mexicana and U.S. Airways.
What documentation do I need to come to Mexico?
A passport. You will be issued a tourist card upon entering the country. Be sure to hang on to it, you will need it to exit Mexico.
What is your cancellation policy?
100% of your deposit will be refunded 30 days prior to scheduled trip. Any cancellations less than two weeks but more than one week from your scheduled trip will result in 50% of your deposit being refunded. Cancellations less than one week from your trip will forfeit your deposit. Failure to cancel a reservation or not showing up for the charter will cause your credit card to be charged for the balance of the charter.
Can I make my reservation without making a deposit?
No. All charters require a reservation deposit. When we receive your deposit, we will send your reservation confirmation by email, and the balance due must be paid upon your arrival in Cabo San Lucas.
When do I need to pay for my fishing trip?
A deposit must be received to hold your reservation. Full payment must be received before boarding your boat on your departure date. The balance due may be paid in Pesos, US Dollars, Traveler's checks, Credit Cards or PayPal.
